Request Guidelines for Blog posts, Reviews, Endorsements

  • Requests are generally thrown in to a pool and our writers pick and choose the ones they want to do. Requesting is no guarantee of acceptance.
  • We like things like news exposees, show previews, artist interviews, and unusual stories. We don't particularly like to do album reviews and solicited endorsements/quotes for a band's media kit. You can try, and you might occasionally inspire someone or catch them in a generous mood, but see previous bullet point.
  • Our staff are all volunteers, and availability varies. Requests should ideally be made 2 to 4 weeks in advance.
  • Your request is more likely to be accepted if you provide an EPK or links to all of your pertinent information with your reuqest. It makes things easier for us.
  • Your request is likely to be rejected if you have had a great deal of similar media exposure in the previous three months. We look for unique angles, not to repeat information on other web sites.

Request Guidelines for Regional and National Acts

We honestly aren't trying to be dicks about this, but we are constantly bombarded with requests/demands from every direction on every form of media you can think of:

  • Our primary focus is on Indiana-based artists and regional/national artists IF they are currently scheduled to share a bill with central-Indiana based artists.
  • There is a $25 fee for endorsements, reviews, interviews, and press releases for regional and national artists that are not currently scheduled to play a bill with a local artist. We simply don't have the resources to accomodate everyone who asks us to do stuff for them free of charge
  • Please follow all other guidelines on this page regarding radio, podcast, or blog requests/submissions.
