Bio
Gread rock songs with a bluesy edge. Healing Sixes combine elements of legendary artists like Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and Otis Redding -- with the modern sensibilities of Audioslave, The Black Crowes, and Jeff Buckley.
In 2000, Healing Sixes released their first CD, "Maple," and gained much attention by bringing in Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham). Jason was Healing Sixes' drummer for four years.
Healing Sixes' second CD "Enormosound" was released with the help fo Kevin "Caveman" Shirley (Black Crowes, Aerosmith). Kevin produced "Enormosound" to much critical acclaim. "Enormosound" is available in Europe and Canada through Corazong Records.
Much of Healing Sixes appeal has been their vocalist Doug Henthorn. Doug's drawn the spotlight as a guest vocalist on Joe Bonamassa's latest recording, "You and Me," which spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard blues chart.
Always putting the emphasis on the song, Healing Sixes' music is strong, vibrant, and never formulated. The incredible talen tof all four of its members combined with years of road experience (playing everywhere from BB King's in Manhattan, the Chicago House of Blues, Cabo Wabo in Mexico, and the Hard Rock in Toronto) makes the Healing Sixes experience simply riveting.
